SDSmyhealthcare is a £2.4 million pilot project, funded by the Prime Minister’s Challenge Fund. It is one of the world’s most exciting public transformation projects.

For the first time, it can meet patients’ clear demand for a local 7 days-per-week GP service.

But SDSmyhealthcare is much bigger than improved access alone. Through its integrated approach, SDSmyhealthcare aims to achieve significant and long-lasting benefits for all of its key stakeholders. They include patients, GPs, practice managers and staff, A&E departments, and the wider NHS healthcare community.

Three Local Hubs

The project is divided into three local “hubs”, all of which are now up and running. The main hub is based at West Heath Surgery, with local hubs in Fernley and River Brook.  SDSmyhealthcare is supported by pharmacy, nursing, lifestyle and wellbeing services. It also has access to voluntary sector organisations and health promotion groups.
